Cardi B‘s former manager Klenord “Shaft” Raphael is suing her for $10million.

Back in March, the rapper left Raphael to sign with Solid Foundation, the management division of Quality Control that also manages her fiancé Offset’s group Migos.

Raphael claims that Cardi B is in breach of her contract with him, adding that her new management deal is invalid due to this previous contract.

Raphael alleges that “with actual knowledge of Cardi B’s exclusive management agreement with WorldStar, defendants Foster, QC, Lee, and Thomas, without justification, intentionally interfered with that agreement, thereby depriving WorldStar of the substantial income, benefits, and advantages it was entitled to receive under that agreement.”

Raphael is suing for breach of contract, unjust enrichment, declaratory judgment and defamation. He’s seeking damages “not less than $10,000,000.”

A representative for Raphael told Variety, “Since discovering Cardi B in 2015, Shaft has played an integral role in developing her music career and public image.

“While he is proud of their successful collaborations as she evolved from Instagram influencer to music megastar, Shaft is disappointed by her actions to freeze him out of her career, which are detailed in the complaint. Shaft is confident that his lawsuit will validate his conduct and substantiate his legal claims.”

Cardi B is yet to make a statement about the lawsuit. Meanwhile, yesterday it was announced that she has cancelled a number of live dates following news of her pregnancy.

During her Saturday Night Live performance earlier this month, Cardi publicly revealed that she is pregnant. While performing ‘Be Careful’, the camera panned out to show the rapper’s baby bump in her white gown, prompting cheers from the audience.

Now, explaining in an Instagram video that she wanted to make matters “a little clearer” for fans, Cardi announced that her set at Broccoli City Festival in Washington DC this weekend will be her “last performance for a little while” because “shawty keep growing”.

Saying that she can “barely breathe” at the moment, Cardi also confirmed that she will be back on the run for her tour supporting Bruno Mars in North America during September.
