Earlier, the 1TV broadcaster reported, citing the country's health ministry, that two explosions in Afghanistan's Kabul left at least 21 people dead and 27 others injured.

According to French news agency Agence France-Presse (AFP), the second explosion in Kabul had claimed the life of one of its photographers, Shah Marai. According to the agency, journalists of TOLOnews, 1TV and Al Jazeera are also among the casualties of the blast.

None of the terrorist groups has immediately claimed responsibility for the attack.

The first explosion took place early on Monday in the Shashdarak area of the Afghan capital close to intelligence service buildings and foreign diplomatic missions. The blast left four people dead and injured five, according to the Afghan Interior Ministry's spokesman.

Half an hour later, a second explosion occured beside journalists who had gathered to report on the first blast.

Earlier in the day, a police officer was reportedly killed and five persons injured following a mine explosion in the country's Nangarhar province.
