MOSCOW, May 2 - RIA Novosti. The Ukrainian authorities are considering three possible ways to resolve the conflict in the Donbass, said Deputy Minister for Issues of Temporarily Occupied Territories and Internally Displaced Persons Yuri Grymchak.

The official believes that the Ukrainian army can completely liberate certain regions of Donetsk and Lugansk regions in two weeks, but doubts that a military scenario will be used.

The Deputy Minister calls the remaining two plans "Croatian".

"Croatia had Serbian Krajina and Eastern Slavonia, the Serbian Krajina was liberated by military means - through the operation of the Croatian army, but the Serbian army remained in the barracks and did not go to meet the Croatian army," Grymchak told the Gromadsky radio. He recalled that Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic was then put in such conditions that he gave guarantees that his army would not interfere in the military conflict.

The second "Croatian" scenario Ukrainian authorities consider as the main one. As the deputy minister noted, such a plan presupposes the introduction of a peacekeeping contingent in the southeast of Ukraine and the withdrawal of foreign troops from this territory.

"It is also necessary to disarm militants, create an international transitional administration to transfer these territories under the control of Ukraine," the official concluded.

Earlier, Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko announced the completion of the "antiterrorist operation" (ATU) in the Donbass and the beginning of the operation of the "united forces." The change of regimes, according to Kiev, is due to the fact that the previous format has exhausted itself.

The Ukrainian leader published in his Twitter the moment of signing a decree on the beginning of a new regime in the Donbass. The operation will be headed by the military, while the "Security Service of Ukraine" was engaged in the "antiterrorist operation". However, Kiev emphasizes that the possibility of conducting point-based "anti-terrorist operations" is preserved - this format can be introduced at any time "in the event of a threat".

According to the Ukrainian president, ATO allowed to hold elections in Ukraine in 2014-2015. Poroshenko also said that this regime "destroyed the plans of the Russian Federation, one of the key elements of which was the non-recognition of the new Ukrainian government and an attempt to impose on the world the theses that a coup d'etat took place in Ukraine."

"Thanks to the courage and heroism of the soldiers of the armed forces, security services, the national guard, border guards and the national police, more than 200 settlements that were previously occupied were liberated," the president added.

In turn, the Donbas doubted that the innovation would somehow change the situation in the southeast of Ukraine. This opinion was made by the head of the representative office of the self-proclaimed Donetsk People's Republic in the Joint Center for Control and Coordination of the ceasefire regime Ruslan Yakubov.

"The change in the format of the operation from the so-called ATO to the so-called EOS of the essence does not change, it's all a military way to resolve the conflict," he said.

Yakubov also stressed that the unrecognized republic adheres to the Minsk agreements and reserves the right to protect the civilian population by any means.

The self-proclaimed Lugansk People's Republic also believes that the new format will not affect the situation in the region in any way.

"The main bullet" is still in the head of Poroshenko, who believes that he can reach the second presidential term on the "hawkish rhetoric", then again promise that he can finish the war in a few hours and forget for four years, "- said the representative of the unrecognized republic in the political subgroup Rodion Miroshnik.
