Plot details, as well as a title, for Zombieland 2 , the sequel to 2009's Zombieland, have reportedly been revealed. After nearly a decade since the original movie's release, this sequel will delve into territory that showcases an evolution of the flesh-eating creatures.
In Ruben Fleischer's Zombieland, Woody Harrelson, Jesse Eisenberg, Emma Stone, and Abigail Breslin embark on a cross-country road trip in the hopes of surviving a recent viral outbreak that has turned people into zombies. They follow various zombie-specific rules on the way to their final destination in Los Angeles (prompting them to "double-knot their shoes,' "check the back seat,' and even "avoid strip clubs"), running into various people along the way, including Amber Heard as a neighbor-turned-zombie and Bill Murray as himself. Now, nearly 10 years after Zombieland's theatrical release, not only have screenwriters Rhett Reese and Paul Wernick (who co-wrote Deadpool  and Deadpool 2) confirmed that a follow-up is in the works, an entire script breakdown has revealed some interesting details regarding the sequel.

Splash Report is reporting details not only regarding the story for Zombieland's sequel, but its title as well. According to the source, the movie will be titled Zombieland Too, and will take advantage of the nearly decade-long break since the 2009 movie. The story will revolve around Zombieland's original quartet of actors (who are reportedly expected to return) existing in a world where the zombie apocalypse has evolved. The zombie population is beginning to wear thin, and there's an overall sense of apathy taking hold of the story's protagonists. This ultimately prompts Stone's Wichita to flee and Breslin's Little Rock to run away with a new, unnamed character, leading to a full-scale rescue mission. On the road again, the characters eventually discover a new breed of "super zombies," which are larger, stronger, and far more resilient than their previous iterations. Fleischer is returning as director.
