Ulquiorra May 23, 2018 Share May 23, 2018 Trying to get pregnant? Eat more red meat. That's part of the message Meat and Livestock Australia is selling to boost the popularity of beef and to counter vegetarianism. Meat and Livestock Australia boss Richard Norton said he knew of a doctor who has a lot of young women coming through his practice trying to have a baby. "The first script he gave them was to consume red meat again for a month and see if you can get pregnant," Mr Norton told a Senate estimates hearing on Wednesday. "Nine out of 10 times that's what actually happens." Committee chair and Liberal-National Party senator Barry O'Sullivan predicts the strategy could be a hit. "There'll be a big run on the supermarkets with honeymooners after that," Senator O'Sullivan said.
