M. Night Shyalaman reveals the teaser poster for his upcoming film, Glass. Last year, the director delivered one of his best twists in years, when audiences were shocked to learn Shyamalan's thriller Split took place in the same universe as his beloved superhero film Unbreakable. For years, fans have clamored for a proper followup to the story of Bruce Willis' David Dunn, and now that project is almost upon us. In addition to Willis, Samuel L. Jackson, James McAvoy, and Anya Taylor-Joy are reprising their roles from the previous installments of this unlikely franchise.

The turnaround on Glass was extremely fast. It was officially confirmed by Shyamalan in April 2017 and quickly made its way through production, wrapping last December. Shyamalan has been hard at work editing the film, but he's taking time out of his busy schedule to showcase Glass at San Diego Comic-Con next month. Hall H should have plenty of surprises, but the director's getting the hype train started a little early.

Shyamalan took to his official Twitter account, sharing the teaser poster for Glass. It depicts David Dunn, Mr. Glass (Jackson), and Kevin Wendell Crumb (McAvoy) confined in chairs, while the reflections of their alter-egos stand strong. Check it out for yourself in the space below:

Footage for Glass was shown at CinemaCon earlier this year, revealing that Dunn, Kevin, and Mr. Glass are all imprisoned or institutionalized at the start of the film, being interviewed by Sarah Paulson's psychiatrist character. This would explain why David is incarcerated on the poster. Of course, things won't stay that way for long, with the movie's synopsis teasing a series of showdowns between Dunn and The Beast - orchestrated by none other than Elijah Price (who claims to know secrets about both men). Leaked set videos and photos have shown the two in some kind of confrontation, and given their respective power sets, it should be interesting to see them battle onscreen. Mr. Glass was a psychological opponent for Dunn, but Kevin Wendell Crumb looks to be a more physical adversary.

Fortunately, fans will have a better idea of what to expect from Glass in the very near future. With Shyamalan and the cast visiting Hall H this year, it's all but a guarantee there will be some footage shown, quite possibly an official teaser. Of course, nobody should expect any trailer to be all that revealing (knowing Shyamalan, he's got another twist up his sleeve), but we should learn a bit about Glass' themes and overall story. Based on the tag line from the one-sheet, the main characters are all going to embrace who they really are. After years of waiting, hopefully Shyamalan delivers on the potential.
