Russian father smashes windows of ex-wife’s car in a terrifying kidnapping incident

THE horrifying moment a father smashed through a car windscreen in a vicious custody row has been caught on video.

A friend of the mother filmed the terrifying altercation, which is believed to have occurred in a car park in Naberezhnye Chelny, Russia — a city that’s about two hours from Moscow by plane.

Sitting in the passenger seat, the friend captured the man asking his ex-wife to open the door, before flipping into a violent fit of rage.

In the video, the mother pleas for the man to leave, but he continues to protest in front of the car.

“Go away!”, the mother yells in Russian, to which her seething ex-husband responds, “I will not go, open the door!”.

The man reaches into his pocket, prompting an attempt by the mother to drive away, but he stays in front of the car.

Bloodcurdling screams can then be heard from the mother and her friend, as the man, brandishing what appears to be his keys, rips into the front windscreen. The terrified child is also heard crying.

He then dashes to the driver’s side, smashing the glass as the mother shrieks in terror.

The man then takes her keys, before opening the rear door and taking the child from its booster seat.

A custody battle has consumed the pair for some time, according to local media, who reported they have struggled to reach an agreement.

Local police did not receive any complaints about the incident, according to the Daily Mail.

The Daily Mail reported that Russian family law often grants custody of the child to the mother, and this is only refused when there is evidence the child might be exposed to abuse.
