I prefer mp3.I know that i can't have better quality with flac but cause i don't see the difference i download mp3 that i found easier

Flac done properly is far better quality although there's rips out there that are no better than a medium quality mp3 because they haven't been done properly.

Also it will depend on the track and how it was recorded originally the difference you will hear, mp3 loses different wave lenghs but if the original didnt utilise these wave lenghs in the recording then then obviously the loss will be less so.I prefer .flac myself but there is some very good .mp3 out there too.

FLAC stands for Free Lossless Audio Codec, an audio format similar to MP3, but lossless, meaning that audio is compressed in FLAC without any loss in quality. This is similar to how Zip works, except with FLAC you will get much better compression because it is designed specifically for audio, and you can play back compressed FLAC files in your favorite player (or your car or home stereo, see supported devices) just like you would an MP3 file.

OGG and monkey are also good lossless formats

I love flac for the lossless

In my car i have a specific nav which requires mp3's so I usually decode my flacs to listen in my car

I notice a difference

now that i got what.cd, waffles.fm and coexist, i only download flac files ( i can still encode them into V0 mp3 VBR so that i can listen my music with my portable mp3 player :D )
