FLAC by far; though they take up more space, memory is cheap these days anyways (1 TB for a little over $100). Lossless quality is worth it. Even if you don't have the best audio rig to take advantage of the lossless quality sound, you'll have a reliable source file for re-encoding into different formats as you need.
