Iggy Azalea and DeAndre Hopkins declare themselves single despite relationship news

Iggy Azalea and DeAndre Hopkins have confused fans by declaring themselves single on social media shortly after she seemingly confirmed their relationship in an interview.

During an interview with Y100 radio station in Miami, Florida earlier this week (begs06Aug18), the Fancy hitmaker seemed to confirm she was dating the American football star during a game of True or False, with her confessing, "Yeah, we're in a relationship", just days after he told a fan on Instagram that he was her boyfriend.

The romance news hit headlines on Wednesday night, but hours later the Australian rapper confused her fans by insisting she was single in a series of tweets.

"I'm single," the 28-year-old wrote besides shrugging and blushing emojis. "I have come to the conclusion iam going to be alone forever. Iam completely fine with that. I have a routine now. I watch movies alone in the shower n s**t... its nice (sic)."

She also shared a meme of a pie chart which jokingly showed the results to "Will i ever find the love of my life?" and the key beside it shows the large green area of the chart means "no" and the tiny piece of red means "no, but in red".

One user responded to her posts by writing, "where’s the lie tho (sic)," and she retweeted the message but didn't answer the question.

Another asked, "What happened? That was over quickly," another tagged DeAndre and wrote, "What did you do fam @DeAndreHopkins" and a third tweeted, "We were all happy for you, I hope someone has not tried sabotaging your relationship. I hope that’s not the case."

On Wednesday night, hours before she made her "single" post, the Kream rapper cryptically wrote, "Sometimes you gotta pick your poison. when you’re put in a s**t position the lesser of two evils is often the only option. if anyone can’t understand that - stay the f**k from round me."

On Thursday morning, DeAndre, 26, commented on the news and insisted they weren't together, writing on Instagram Stories, "Y'all know I'm not a social media seeker but ya boi is SINGLE (sic)!!"

DeAndre, who plays for the Houston Texans, and Iggy were first linked after fans spotted them flirting openly on Instagram.
