Former KKK head David Duke and ex-BNP leader Nick Griffin back Jeremy Corbyn

A FORMER leader of the KKK and ex-head of the BNP have both thrown their weight behind Jeremy Corbyn today.

David Duke, a Holocaust denier and member of the white supremacists group, said the Labour boss was "right" to challenge the media.

Yesterday Mr Corbyn vowed to challenge the "stranglehold of elite power and billionaire domination over large parts of our media".

And Mr Duke, who believes in racial segregation, tweeted: "He's right you know."

The embattled Labour leader was under fire once more yesterday after a fresh video emerged of him claiming UK Zionists "don't understand English irony".

He added: "They needed two lessons, which we could perhaps help them with."

Jewish MP Luciana Berger said the Labour leader's comments, made in 2013, were "inexcusable".

"I've lived in Britain all my life and I don't need any lessons in history/irony," she added.

A spokesman for Mr Corbyn told the Mail Online: "He was referring to a group of pro-Israel activists misunderstanding - and then criticising - the Palestinian ambassador for a speech at a separate event about the occupation of the West Bank."

But the Labour boss was backed up by the right-wing British National Party's former leader, Nick Griffin.

He wrote on Twitter: "Go Jezza! I wonder how many Labour activists the hysterical #Zionist media campaign against #Corbyn is re-pilling?"

Corbyn has already been forced to apologise for hosting a event in 2010 where a Holocaust survivor compared Israel to Nazism.

He said he had "on occasion appeared on platforms with people whose views I completely reject" and was sorry for the "concerns and anxiety that this has caused".

Corbyn was also criticised for his presence at a ceremony in Tunisia in 2014, which is said to have honoured the masterminds behind the 1972 Munich terror attack.
