Nvidia is yet to announce its next-gen gaming GPUs but a report has made its way on the internet suggesting that Nvidia RTX 2080 pre-orders will start this coming Monday and also revealed the price for the upcoming Nvidia GPU.

This is according to NordicHardware, who has confirmed that Nvidia RTX 2080 Pre-Orders will start from Monday meaning the August 20th is the date that you need to save if you want to secure a pre-order for the GPU.

According to NordicHardware, they have heard it from the official channels that Nvidia RTX 2080 Pre-Orders will start this Monday on August 20, 2018.

This falls in line with Nvidia’s August 20th pre-Gamescom conference where Nvidia will presumably announce the GPU and soon after that will open the Nvidia RTX 2080 Pre-Orders.

However, don’t expect any custom version of Nvidia RTX 2080 or a GPU from any of its AIB partners as it will most probably be Founders Edition of the Nvidia RTX 2080.

As for the price, the retailers at NordicHardware are offering Nvidia RTX 2080 Pre-Orders between 5,240 yuan (approx. $761.84) and 6,000 yuan (approx. $872.34).

While Nvidia hasn’t confirmed yet but the Nvidia RTX 2080 is expected to feature Real-Time Ray tracing with 8 GB of GDDR6 memory.

As for the price being higher compared to previous gen GPUs, it is important to note that this could be because of the difference in the region. Also, take it with a grain of salt as this is just a rumor.

However, this falls in line with the previous report that RTX 2080 will be announced on August 20, 2018, at Nvidia’s pre-Gamescom 2018 conference.

Speaking of RTX GPUs, another report has been making rounds on the internet suggesting that the Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti will feature 11 GB of GDDR6 memory with 352-bit memory bus.

Given that RTX 2080 is rumored to beat the $3000 Titan V, it will be interesting to see how well Nvidia RTX 2080 Ti will perform and what kind of improvements it will bring to the gaming GPUs.

While we are waiting for the next-gen gaming GPU but Nvidia has revealed its RTX Quadro GPUs based on the Turing architecture. Nvidia has announced Quadro RTX 8000, Quadro RTX 6000 and Quadro RTX 5000 GPUs.

However, we might not see the Real-Time Ray tracing for mid-range and low-end GPUs as reportedly the RTX branding is exclusive to high-end GPUs as mid-range GPUs aren’t capable of handling it.

Do you think Nvidia opening up pre-orders for RTX 2080 this coming Monday? Let us know in the comments.
