The band also named the hip-hop trio among a list of acts they'd book for a dream festival line-up

Fall Out Boy have spoken about their long-held admiration for Migos – watch the band discuss their love for the hip-hop group in their latest NME interview, which you can see above.

The band headlined Reading & Leeds Festivals over the weekend, with both sets drawing from across the band’s extensive back catalogue – check out the NME review of their Reading show here.

Fall Out Boy’s Pete Wentz and Andy Hurley spoke to NME ahead of the set, where the pair were asked to name their picks for a dream festival line-up. As well as selecting such artists as Metallica and Oasis, Wentz said that they’d happily book Migos to play – before explaining more about the band’s admiration for the Atlanta trio.

“I would have Migos play… they would be the opener for us on all three nights,” Wentz said, before adding that he was a “‘Versace’-type of guy” when asked to name his favourite Migos song.

Hurley opted for the group’s 2017 track ‘T Shirt’, before Wentz explained that Fall Out Boy once worked with Migos on the remix version of the former’s 2015 album ‘American Beauty/American Psycho’, named ‘Make America Psycho Again’.

“I think [Migos] were really big in the hip-hop community, but they weren’t really super-well known yet,” Wentz explained about the group’s status at the time of recording their feature on ‘Irresistible’. “They’re actually on the ‘American Beauty/American Psycho’ remix album – so check it out. Their verse is really cool on it.”
