A fake Glastonbury 2019 line-up poster has appeared online, splitting opinion

A fake poster for the line-up of Glastonbury 2019 has been shared across social media, and has a lot of people speculating about who may actually be likely to play.

While the official line-up will not be released next year following September’s first main batch of tickets going on sale, pranksters are already sharing mocked up posters of acts they think are likely to appear.

On the rather convincing image, copying Stanley Donwood’s usual graphic design and imagery from recent years, the poster predicts that Madonna, Paul McCartney and Lady Gaga will be headlining, with the likes of The 1975, Noel Gallagher, Paolo Nutini, Kylie Minogue, Travis Scott, Disclosure, Skepta, Christine & The Queens and The Streets all quite high up the bill.

This comes after Glasto organiser said that the Legend’s Slot will be a ‘non-British female’ and that Paul McCartney is ‘top of their list’ to headline.

“This looks fire AF,” wrote one music fan on Instagram, while another said “if some of these are on the line up we have to save up and go.”

Others however, were less than enthused.

“Absolute shite so probably true,” wrote Instagram user. “Good job it’s amazing whatever the line up.”

Another added: “Imagine not putting Arctic Monkeys on this.”

Another emerged earlier this year, predicting that this year’s Reading & Leeds headliner Kendrick Lamar would be topping the bill, alongside the long-rumoured Madonna and returning headliners Arctic Monkeys.

NME has approached Glastonbury for a response to the fake posters.

Emily Eavis recently said that they’re progressing well with the line-up for Glastonbury 2019, while Stormzy recently appeared to tease that he may be headlining.

Amid reports that Madonna will headline Glastonbury 2019, other rumoured headliners for Glastonbury 2019 include Arctic Monkeys, ABBA, The Cure, Fleetwood Mac, Taylor Swift, Oasis and Kendrick Lamar.

Tame Impala also recently claimed that they would love to headline Glastonbury 2019 if asked.
