Pink Floyd drummer Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets have announced another UK tour for 2019. Check out the full schedule below.

The supergroup, who lifted their name from Pink Floyd’s second album, visited London for a run of intimate shows in May. Taking to the stage at Camden’s Dingwalls and The Half Moon in Putney, the dates marked Mason’s first live performances since the Olympics’ closing ceremony in 2012.

This week, the group will conclude a string of larger shows at Nottingham Royal Concert Hall.

Saucerful Of Secrets will return for more live shows in April and May 2019. The tour will conclude with two gigs at London’s Roundhouse on May 3/4. Tickets go on sale this Friday (September 28) at 10 am – buy them here.

Nick Mason’s Saucerful Of Secrets will play:
Apr 29: Cardiff St David’s Hall
Apr 30: Aylesbury Friars
May 01: Cambridge Corn Exchange
May 03: London Roundhouse
May 04: London Roundhouse

Ahead of their first outing earlier this year, the band said: “This is a unique opportunity to experience Pink Floyd’s celebrated and significant early body of work played live including songs from albums ‘The Piper at the Gates of Dawn’ and ‘A Saucerful of Secrets’“

The five-piece features Gary Kemp of Spandau Ballet, former Pink Floyd bassist Guy Pratt, The Blockheads guitarist Lee Harris, and music producer and composer Dom Beken.

Meanwhile, Mason recently spoke of the “challenging” project.

“Being an eternal optimist, I thought it would just come straight back to me,” the drummer told Billboard. “Sadly, I was wrong. Once you start examining Syd Barrett’s work carefully, it’s quite often more complex than you expect.

“It’s not necessarily written like so many pop songs with an eight-bar section and the middle eights and whatever. It’s quite often a completely different set of bar counts to what you’re expecting.

He added: “And that in a way was fun and challenging to get at the feel of the song, but not necessarily feel that we had to sound exactly like Syd or like David Gilmour or whatever.”
