The rappers have paired up for a song on the new Spider-Man movie soundtrack

Post Malone and Rae Sremmurd’s Swae Lee have released their new collaboration, ‘Sunflower’ – check out the video to the track below.

The song has brought the two artists together for the second time following Swae’s guest verse on ‘Spoil My Night’ from Malone’s April album ‘beerbongs & Bentleys’.

‘Sunflower’ is the first single to be released from the soundtrack for the upcoming animated movie Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is set for release on December 14.

The soundtrack has been billed as “a contemporary musical companion” to the film, and will span multiple genres (including hip-hop, Latin and pop) in order “to portray what a teen like Miles [Morales, AKA Spider-Man] is listening to across the country”.

Watch the animated video for Post Malone and Swae Lee’s ‘Sunflower’ below.

Speaking about the track, Sony Pictures Entertainment’s Head of Music Spring Aspers said: “Post and Swae have delivered a song that’s both heroic and emotional, which is exactly what a Spider-Man story needs. It’s anthemic, but also heartfelt Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, which is set for release on December 14 the perfect soundtrack for Miles to discover the Spider-Man inside himself.”

Earlier this week, an Omaze campaign released footage of a prank Post Malone took part in where he went undercover in a record store.
