The 12-track compilation includes an exclusive, never-before-released track

A new and exclusive Bob Dylan bootleg compilation has been released as part of the latest issue of Uncut.

The pioneering musician’s ongoing ‘Bootleg Series’ of archival releases is being celebrated in the magazine’s latest edition, which went on sale today (October 18).

The 12-track ‘Best Of The Bootleg Series’ CD – which is included with every new issue of Uncut – comes ahead of the forthcoming release of ‘More Blood, More Tracks’ – the fourteenth instalment of ‘The Bootleg Series’ – which is set for release on November 2.

A track-by-track guide to the exclusive ‘Best Of The Bootleg Series’ CD, written by Allan Jones, is also included in the new issue.

The issue’s cover feature is also on Dylan, focusing on the full and astonishing story of the making of his legendary – and hugely intriguing – 1975 album ‘Blood on the Tracks’.

“Whatever the truth, ‘Blood On The Tracks’ restored Dylan’s reputation,” Uncut‘s editor Michael Bonner writes in the feature. “An album of powerful emotional complexity, it confirmed that Dylan, finally, had broken free of the ’60s, initiating a period of creativity that propelled him through the rest of the decade.”

This latest issue of Uncut can be purchased online here.

Earlier this year, actors Bill Murray and Steve Buscemi were among the stars who covered Dylan’s songs in honour of the artist’s 77th birthday.
