The guy who created AVASt, Alwil he himself used to be hacker, his program currently is no doubt the best antivirus out there

Antivirus - Dr Web. Among firewalls i choose Comodo. Not the best, but works well.

I prefer Kaspersky for the antivirus and PCTools Firewall Plus for the firewall purpose.

Dunno what would be the best one, there are so many different ones, and you need more than one for sure. You need a Real Hardware Firewall with built in Antivirus/IPS/Spyware, plus a main software firewall for your computer, plus other scanning softwares such as: Emisoft Anti-Malware, Malwarebytes, PSI Secunia, ccleaner, cyberscrub, etc....

Doesn't look like a lot of Norton fans out there but I use Norton 360. Been using Norton forever and I have not had a reason to change.
