The test site is open!

We have been working hard on the new site for... way too long! but we are almost there now :smile1: The new site has a bunch of new features but perhaps more importantly is designed to run a lot leaner under the hood, now we just need to find any remaining bugs asap so we can changeover for real. Thats where your help is needed.

We need as many users as possible to use the test site so we can test the load on the site and tracker. You can jump on torrents there that you have already downloaded from here (you will need to grab the new torrent file from the test site and tell it to force-recheck in your torrent client) and/or upload torrents there as you would here. If we can make a special plea to uploaders to put stuff on the test tracker - we know its an ask as the upload and your upload credit for it on the test site will be wiped out - but we really need to test with something like a normal load if we can.

The test site was updated with the current emp data earlier today, so has all the user accounts and torrents from a few hours ago. from that moment on its essentially a different site, all activity and data on the test site will be wiped out in a week or so and so will not affect your account here in any way.

Have a good look around the site at all the features and options and stuff... we need to know if anything doesnt work or breaks so we can fix it!

note: Because of a slight difference in the way they are stored some passwords from emp wont work on the new site.

Please make sure you are using your current emp.me password, if that fails then you should be able to use the reset password feature which will send you an email to the email address you have with your account here. This is the time to find out if your pw will work after the switchover, and if not then if you have a valid email address with your emp.me account. If you need help you can get on irc and speak to us in the #empornium-help channel.

also: bitcomet and bitlord clients are automatically banned on the new tracker, if you use those clients change them now!
