Yes. Ads and no ads... I think the user base for the paid version is very-very small or ...zero. They had a cryptocurrency miner at some time as well in the free version. I was a utorrent user but not anymore. Don't like even the free version

Maybe because it is mainly written in Python ? And Python as scripting language is not so fast as C / C++ or other compiled languages?
