I think a seed is good to have, because runs all the time, and beside that, has very high speeds. Your computer is not ON all the time, with the money that you pay for electricity, you can buy a seedbox and you don t have to worry about keeping the computer alive all the time.

With fibre broadband and a VPN is there still any advantage to having a seedbox? I only pay for 100 Mbps but have the option of Gigabit.

I personally would go with a seedbox for security and privacy. Also less to worry about. If money isn't an issue then you can do it from home but doesn't forget about storage if you plan to keep the torrents you download instead of deleting them right after you are done with them. Seedbox is alot easier to upgrade when you need more resources.

I concur, unless you plan to leave your PC on 24/7 or if you have a separate machine to do your downloading and stuff.
