Torrent Close-Down Update: Kickass Torrent, Cryptoneat, Torrentz STILL Discovering Loopholes To Continue Operation? 4 Strong Alternatives Emerging

Torrents have been a way for many to watch free movies online. Despite the loss of the major torrent sites, torrents are bound to make a comeback with employees from the closed torrents sites building their own URL and coming up with new torrent sites.

The U.S. Government has been adamant in hunting torrent sites, having captured the alleged front company of Kickass Torrents, Cryptoneat, and Torrentz. Also, rumors are circulating that the hunting has not ceased and other torrents may also be in danger, Torrent Freak reported.

A couple of years ago, The Pirate Bay was closed, giving leverage to the largest Torrent site in the world, Kickass Torrents. However, since its capture, the future of Kickass Torrents seems dark. With the disappearance of these famous torrents, an increase of new members for Extra Torrent, Sumo Torrent, Yify Torrents, ISO Hut, and more have been witnessed.

Despite the fact that piracy is considered wrong, the market for torrents is still many. Soon after Kickass Torrents got shut down, mirror sites like KAT.am, surfaced online which had an identical domain and a similar design with its predecessor.

Reportedly, it confused many KAT users but was also shut down although other sites that copied Kickass Torrents domain remains. Even with the U.S. government's battle against these pirate sites, these sites are still capable of finding loopholes in the system to continue operation, Ars Technica reported.

Those who started torrents in KAT were the same employees who worked for Cryptoneat, but reportedly moved on to other jobs. With only the owner of KAT getting sacked, it remains possible for his people to revive Kickass Torrents under another name. Torrentz may also find its way back.

Torrents can still be found online. Torrent sites that get closed reportedly come back with another URL or a new name. For now, torrents users will have to deal with limited choices.
