  6. Emily Bett Rickards’ Felicity Smoak may be gone from Arrow, but that doesn’t mean that her presence won’t be felt in Season 8. While Stephen Amell’s Oliver Queen is busy on a mission for The Monitor ahead of “Crisis on Infinite Earths,” daughter Mia (Katherine McNamara) will be working hard to uphold the promise she made to her mom in 2040. Mia grew up an only child, so that might factor into how she’ll relate (or not relate) to the rest of Team Arrow 2.0, including Zoe (Wild Dog’s daughter) and Connor (John Diggle's adopted son). Speaking with TVLine, Katherine McNamara, known best for her role as on ABC Family’s Shadowhunters, discussed the ways in which Mia will deal with being on a new team.
  7. Be advised: spoilers for the Season 2 premiere of New Amsterdam are discussed below. New Amsterdam has a new romance in store for one of its doctors who was involved in the life-and-death storyline that ended last season. The resolution came in the tragic Season 2 premiere that revealed who died following last season’s cliffhanger ending. Dr. Helen Sharpe, Dr. Lauren Bloom, and Max’s wife, Georgia, were all potential victims in the aftermath of last season’s ambulance crash. In the Season 2 premiere, New Amsterdam revealed that it was Max’s wife, Georgia, who had succumbed to her injuries. Helen and Lauren both survived. In the wake of the accident, both will be doing their best to move forward.
  8. Spoilers ahead for the Season 2 premiere of The Masked Singer. The Masked Singer Season 2 is officially underway, which means the internet detectives are out in full force trying to guess the identities of this year’s contestants. We’ve already learned who two competitors were in the premiere, but as of writing, the rest are one big mystery. Well, for many anyway, as I’m feeling close to 100% confident on the identity of The Thingamajig. The judges were on the right track when they thought The Thingamajig was a basketball player; they just didn’t nail down who. Those who are fans of the Indiana Pacers may know quite well, and may think this is the rather obvious reveal the rest of the world didn’t see coming. Here are some of the tells, and why I’m already saying there’s a slim chance there’s anyone under the mask besides Victor Oladipo.
  9. There has already been an insane amount of unexpected guests stars added to the Arrow-verse "Crisis On Infinite Earths" crossover, and the crazy castings just keep on coming. The latest news on that front is that the television event has added a Supernatural star, and an alum of yet another DC series to join the fun. Strap in, because Osric Chau is hopping on to play Ryan Choi, and Birds of Prey's Ashley Scott is reprising her role as Huntress. Read on for the details! For those that don't know the first character, Ryan Choi is the name of one of the men who eventually took up the mantle of The Atom. Choi was referenced in The Flash Season 5 when Barry's future daughter Nora revealed the Flash suit she brought him was developed by Choi. Choi's exact role (via TV Insider) in the crossover isn't known, but it wouldn't be surprising to see him appear as the new Atom.
  10. Warning: Spoilers ahead for the Season 3 premiere of Young Sheldon. Be sure to come back once you've caught up! By now, we all know that Sheldon and his mother Mary butt heads on lots of different things. But, the Young Sheldon Season 3 premiere just led to the two getting a bit closer for a very weird and unexpected reason: both thought that the other was going crazy. Fun! Let's dig into the details, shall we? First, as a refresher, last season's finale saw Meemaw's sorta boyfriend (and fellow physics genius) Dr. John Sturgis suffer a nervous breakdown and engage in some very dangerous rooftop behavior when hearing the Nobel Prize winners in his field led to him realizing that his work would never be recognized with the award. And, when Mary finds Sheldon sitting on his bed wearing an eye mask, nose plugs, fluffy ear muffs and mittens in an attempt to do a sensory deprivation experiment to try and move sub-atomic particles around, she begins to worry he'll suffer the same fate.
  11. Spoilers ahead for the Season 2 premiere of A Million Little Things on ABC, called "Coming Home." The second season of A Million Little Things picked up where the Season 1 finale cliffhanger left off when it comes to Eddie and Katherine. Just when Katherine was trying to reconcile with her husband and bring him home to rebuild their family with Theo, he came clean about the biggest secret of Season 1: that he is the real father of Delilah's child. Unsurprisingly, Katherine did not handle the reveal well, and it looks like A Million Little Things may have destroyed the Katherine/Eddie relationship for good. The timing was unfortunate, as Katherine got the text that Delilah's baby had been born right after Eddie dropped the bombshell that the child was his. Devastated, Katherine told Eddie to go to the hospital, to Delilah and his newborn. Katherine did her best to keep a smile on her face for Theo while Eddie was at the hospital, but she eventually had Theo call Eddie home and then left before he arrived.
  12. 2019 is a year of endings. The decades-long Game of Thrones franchise will release the first episode of its final season on HBO this weekend, while the mighty Marvel Cinematic Universe will test if good ultimately wins over a purple, gauntlet-wearing alien with the release of Avengers: Endgame. Lest we forget, another saga will conclude this year. Come December, fans will be treated to a thrilling and chilling ride as Star Wars Episode 9 drops in cinemas. Spoiler alert! With the last movie, Star Wars Episode 8: The Last Jedi, we witnessed how the number of resistance fighters dwindled to just a few soldiers, and how a "dead" Luke Skywalker manifested himself to fight against his nephew, Kylo Ren. This last film received mixed reviews. Most fans saw that the film subverted all the expectations set up by the first film in the trilogy, which was Star Wars Episode 7: The Force Awakens. It was as if the entire Star Wars canon was completely changed.
  13. Daenerys Targaryen and Jon Snow arrive in Winterfell in the first episode of the final season of Game of Thrones, and the queen's arrival subtly stirs up another intense power struggle. Reunions, first meetings, circular narratives, and short quips comprise most of the episode, which runs at least 50 minutes long. There are only five more episodes left and the first one has been used to settle allegiances, set up defenses against the White Walkers, and speak the truth into fruition. Game Of Thrones Season 8 Episode 1 Spoiler alert: it isn't a wonder to feel the pang of nostalgia hit viewers as another royalty marches toward Winterfell, which is a direct parallel to the opening in the pilot episode in the first season. Daenerys meets Lady Sansa Stark for the first time, and the meeting is as chilly as a frozen Wildling beyond the wall. The fierce Lady Lyanna Mormont does not fail to express her disappointment over the fact that Jon bent the knee, and Sansa feels the same. Unlike Daenerys, Jon is declared the King in the North by the people, not by some birthright. Jon defends his decision and tells them that he bent the knee to protect his people, which is something that a true king would do.
  14. Netflix has acquired the global rights to the classic '90s sitcom Seinfeld amid growing competition in streaming services and after losing the streaming rights to other iconic TV shows. All 180 'Seinfeld' Episodes For 151 Million Netflix Subscribers Worldwide The platform announced on Monday that it has acquired the global rights to the show. All 180 episodes of the comedy series will be available to stream in about two years as part of a deal between Netflix and Sony Pictures Television, which controls the distribution of the iconic TV show. Netflix said it will offer all Seinfeld episodes not just to its U.S. subscribers but also to all its 151 million subscribers worldwide once the five-year deal takes effect in 2021.
  15. For Netflix subscribers, a new month means a new set of TV shows and movies, but that also means that a couple of series and films are going away. In October, fans might have to say goodbye to some of their favorites on the platform. Highlights Before they get booted out of the streaming service, some must-watch titles include classics like Bonnie and Clyde (1967), Cabaret (1972), and Casper. There are also some kid-friendly flicks worth a watch, including Despicable Me 3 and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory (2005). For anime fans, they still have some time to binge on Little Witch Academia, Little Witch Academia: The Enchanted Parade, and the first season of Sword Art Online II
