@AchelousI don’t know. Before it was invite only and opened up now and then. 
 

But when it’s always open it’s weird that in my account is a free invite. It also says the following:

Currently enabling this function as a trial base. You will be responsible for the invited users sharing and behavior.

So that’s a bit weird when the registrations are open. Maybe you get some extra buffer true an invite?

Should I remove the post? Or shall we try to find out what the difference is by signing up true an invite?
