The Apprentice viewers outraged as show is delayed because of Prime Minister

THE APPRENTICE fans were left outraged when they switched onto BBC One only to find there was still political coverage for the No Confidence Vote.

Viewers shared their frustration just after 9pm today when they discovered their favourite show was delayed by several minutes.

Instead of Sir Alan Sugar and his remaining candidates being grilled for the much-loved 'interview' round, they found BBC political correspondent Andrew Neil instead still discussing how Theresa May had garnered enough support to remain as Prime Minister.

Taking to Twitter, one wrote: "Come man! Put apprentice on now"

Another commented: "@BBC can we please have #apprentice on now?"

A third shared: "shurrup and put the #apprentice on please and thank you"

A few minutes later the show came on air, much to the delight on fans.

It comes just hours after Sir Alan Sugar revealed The Apprentice semi-finals could be rescheduled because of Prime Minister’s no-confidence vote.

Between 6pm and 8pm this evening, Tory MPs voted on whether Theresa May should stay as leader of the party, with the result announced just before 9pm.

Lord Sugar told his followers: “BREAKING APPRENTICE due to the vote of no confidence there is a possibility tonight’s episode 11 will be delayed or rescheduled.”

Fans of the show were gutted, with many fearing the episode would be completely pushed back.

Tonight’s episode sees the remaining candidates having their CV’s ripped apart by some of Lord Sugar’s most trusted allies.

One viewer said: “Why can’t they just put that on BBC2? We all want to want the interviews – it’s the highlight of the series!”

Another moaned: “I’ve planned my whole week around this!!!!!!!”

While a third added: “So the whole world is on hold for a load of political nonsense. Can we just get it over with please so we can move on?”

One person who wasn’t too bothered by the news was Lord Sugar’s good friend Piers Morgan, who replied: “Finally a positive story from Brexit!”
