Horrific moment boy, 15, wearing HOMEMADE parachute falls 140ft

SICK adults watched – and even encouraged – a 15-year-old boy to jump to his death from a tall building with a homemade parachute.

Schoolboy Bogdan Firsov died yards from his mum, who was among his cheering supporters, after leaping from the roof of the 14-storey-high block.

The crazy, fatal daredevil stunt occurred in the eastern Ukrainian city of Makiivka.

People filmed as Bogdan's makeshift parachute failed to open properly, and he plummeted to the ground.

The teen had previously taken selfies on rooftops and was a fan of extreme sports, say friends.

In a heartbreaking video, the boy can be seen standing of the top of the abandoned building with his arms outstretched.

He jumped over the edge as friends standing close by filmed him, according to local reports.

As he fell, his homemade parachute can be seen trailing behind him in the footage, but it failed to unfurl properly during the 140ft plunge.

An unnamed eyewitness said: “A crowd of people was there and nobody tried to stop him. They only filmed.

“People are not human any longer, they have lost all common sense.”

He added: “It happened right in front of my eyes. The boy jumped down with a parachute.

“He flew down and hit the ground with his back. It was really tough.”

Other relatives joined the boy’s mum in watching, filming and photographing the horrific jump.

They appeared to be "encouraging and cheering him on" – yet not one person bothered to alert cops to halt the stunt.

The mum – whose name was not given – was “so shocked by his death that she refused to leave the spot”.

But experts said that even a full working parachute would not have saved him.
