It's no secret that everyone and their mother is stuck inside watching Tiger King on Netflix right now, there's going to come a time when we're all finished with Joe Exotic and the rest of the grifters and drifters on the docuseries. When that day comes, there are tens of thousands of movies to choose from on the popular streaming platform. From those tough scenes in Marriage Story to Bill Murray's classic Groundhog Day, there's plenty to choose from, especially with all of the great titles that were recently added.

But like everyone else who pays for a monthly subscription, I too often find myself mindlessly scrolling down a seemingly endless list of comedies, dramas, and science fiction epics but still can't make up my mind on what to watch. Luckily for our collective sanity we've put together a list of the best movies to stream on Netflix right now. Let's get started, shall we?

Back To The Future

Back To The Future still remains to be one of the most beloved movies from the '80s, thanks its fantastic story and stellar cast headlined by Michael J. Fox as the time-traveling Marty McFly and Christopher Lloyd as the scientist with a time-machine in a DeLorean, Doc Brown. Watch as McFly navigates the strange landscapes of the 1950s as he tries to get back to the future before it's too late.

Den of Thieves

Released in early 2018, the crime thriller Den Of Thieves is often compared to some of the great heist films of the past for the way it pits an elite group of law enforcement officers against a well-prepared group of robbers set on the grand prize of the City of Angels — the Federal Reserve.

The Patriot

Released in the summer of 2000, Roland Emmerich's The Patriot features Mel Gibson as a widowed father with a vicious past who must take on British forces during the Revolutionary War after his son is captured by the Red Coats. This nearly three-hour epic is full of violence, heartbreak, and some of the most impressive battle scenes of the era.

I Am Divine

For years, the drag queen and shock artist Divine both entertained and disgusted audiences in a number of films from legendary director John Waters. The 2013 documentary I Am Divine takes a look at the late actor's life through interviews with Water as well as other collaborators who shared the screen and stage with the fabulous queen all those years.

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa

Madagascar: Escape 2 Africa features most of the voice cast and antics that made the original film such a hit. Song Of The Sea

The 2014 animated feature Song Of The Sea tells the story of a 10-year-old Irish boy who discovers that his mute sister possesses some amazing powers as the pair sets off on an adventure. This hand-drawn fantasy was nominated for an Academy Award and boasts an astounding 98% rating on Rotten Tomatoes.

The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button

The 2008 David Fincher fantasy drama The Curious Case Of Benjamin Button features Brad Pitt as a boy born as an elderly man who only gets younger as his life goes on. Benjamin Button's life only gets more complicated when he meets and falls in love with Daisy, played by Cate Blanchett.

Urban Cowboy

Hot off the success of Saturday Night Fever and Grease, John Travolta continued to make a name for himself in the 1980 romantic western Urban Cowboy where he plays Bud Davis, a country boy who learns the hard way that he must change his views if he wants to be with the woman he loves. Oh, and does so by entering a mechanical bull-riding competition.

For nearly 50 years now, Willy Wonka And The Chocolate Factory has been a beloved classic enjoyed by moviegoers of all ages. Vampires were all the rage at the turn of the 21st Century thanks to movies like Underworld which follows the Death Dealer Selene (Kate Beckinsale) as she hunts Lycans who are going after an unsuspecting human. Philadelphia

The 1993 drama Philadelphia follows Andrew Beckett (Tom Hanks), a young and successful attorney who is let go after his Philadelphia law firm finds out he is homosexual and has contracted HIV. Upon losing his job, Beckett hires the most unlikely of allies, Joe Miller (Denzel Washington) to take on the powerful law firm that unceremoniously fired him in this extremely sad movie.

There Will Be Blood

Daniel Day-Lewis gives a career performance in director Paul Thomas Anderson's 2007 masterpiece There Will Be Blood. Day-Lewis, who stars as the obsessive and demented oilman Daniel Plainview as he tries to build his empire in the American west in a tour de force that netted the Irish actor his third Academy Award. Paul Dano also gives a career-making performance of his talents as a religious zealot.

Hell Or High Water
