Now, as a fan of the Academy Awards, I know that in many cases, the Best Picture winner is usually justified. Whether it be a massive success like Gone with the Wind or Titanic, or a reasonable effort like The Hurt Locker, we can rest assure that the Academy, in their infinite wisdom, would be able to pick the right winner for the year's best film.

But then there are years in which we can say, "What in the world, Academy?!" There are times where they end up picking the wrong film, which in hindsight, leads to some of the worst possible decisions you can make. Either the Academy goes for the safe bet, or they are so out with the films that turn out to be the absolute classics in the decades to come, that their efforts are laughable. It's a sign of the times when the least likely film beats an all-time great.

So what do you think of who is the worst of the worst? Which is the film that you think shouldn't have won Best Picture in a particular year? I have selected ten films that have not stood the test of time, and by now are either largely forgotten, or otherwise been tainted by events further long. Which one of these is the worst? It's up to you to decide.
