The developers at CD Projekt Red have revealed what their highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 will look like on Xbox consoles via a new comparison video. Players are less than a month away from stepping into a Night City designed by the team behind The Witcher, and they've been waiting patiently. Cyberpunk 2077 has suffered from multiple delays from its originally scheduled release in April of this year. The developers have been working on it for the past eight years, dropping enough hints and teases along the way to cause hype to build to nigh unmanageable levels. With the game set to finally premiere in less than a month, fans are willing to grab at just about anything CD Projekt Red puts out.

While Cyberpunk 2077 has looked like a bleeding-edge experience from the start, its original release date had it set far outside the realm of the Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5. Indeed, this was at one point to be the swan song for the previous-gen consoles, but a December release has necessitated work on a new version for the new machines. The PS4 and Xbox One versions are backward compatible with the new hardware, but a true PS5 and Xbox Series X/S upgrade won't be available until 2021, though it will fortunately be free. Still, this might make some players hold off on playing even further so they can experience the game the best way possible.

Whether next-gen, last-gen, or something in between, the question remained how the game would look on consoles, and that question was answered via a special episode of Night City Wire released earlier today. This 10-minute video showcases the game on both Xbox One X and Xbox Series X, with a bit of time devoted to shooting, talking with NPCs, driving, and wandering around the Cyberpunk 2077's neon-drenched streets.
