Dana White to Take Strict Actions Against Piracy of UFC Pay-Per-Views

UFC President Dana White has kicked off 2021 with his patented fiery personality that was on full display on Instagram. White has been a savant when it comes to trolling fans who like to engage in conflict with him. What’s more, unlike other famed personalities, Dana White doesn’t mind getting down in the mud and actually going all out.

A fan recently commented on a UFC 257 promotional post that White posted to his Instagram and things quickly escalated. The Instagram user explained that he planned to pirate the content that was to come out regarding the upcoming pay-per-view. Chiefly, Dana White wasn’t having any of that and went right after the fan on social media.

This isn’t the first time White has engaged in verbal warfare over pay-per-view piracy and it won’t be the last. The company President has taken it to people who infringe on franchise property with malicious intent. It’s unclear what he means by ‘Surprise’ however, the fan likely regrets his outspoken approach on the matter.

There’s a reason why piracy rates are set to skyrocket come January 23, 2021, and that reason is named Conor McGregor. ‘The Notorious’ return after a year-long hiatus to scrap against Dustin Poirier in a highly defining grudge match. McGregor last competed against Donald ‘Cowboy’ Cerrone in a bout that lasted merely 40 seconds in favor of McGregor.

Additionally, the card also features the long-awaited debut of Michael Chandler who comes in against Dan Hooker. The aforementioned lightweight bout is the co-main event for UFC 257 and is equally defining in its magnitude. The winner of this match-up could very well be in line to face either the main event winner or another big name like Justin Gaethje.

Not to mention, fans are excited to see Chandler test himself against the elite talent that the UFC offers. The former Bellator champion is riding high off a KO win over Benson Henderson but will attempt to replicate his success. Having a successful UFC run is essential towards solidifying the legacy he painstakingly built over at Bellator MMA for several years.
