Every time a new update is rolled out for Google Maps, the developers make improvements for convenience and accessibility for users. One such feature is being able to send messages to businesses from Google Maps directly. In other words, if you come across a business while on Google Maps, you will be able to convey a message without minimizing or closing the app. Isn’t it great?

The feature to send messages to businesses using Google Maps works since 2017, but it was only available for US users. Also, you need to have a business profile on Google Search to do that. However, the feature is now integrated into Google Maps and has come to other countries as well.

Steps To Send Message a Business Through Google

If you want to send a message to business either using Google Maps or Search, you have to find their business profile. It comes up if you search for a certain business or click on the same while locating it using Maps.

It is not of a hard task to send a Message once you have located a Business profile. Click on Message and you will get a Message thread, where messages can be sent or received.

Let’s say you want to ask a business about their operating hours or place an order, you can send them a message.

If you want to see older messages that you have sent to businesses via Google, then follow these steps:

Step 1: Open Google Maps.

Step 2: On the upper left-hand side, locate hamburger menu.

Step 3: Navigate to Messages.

Step 4: Now you can see all the message threads.

How Will Businesses respond To The Query?

A business that wants to accept messages from customers can get a new Google My Business app from can get Google My Business app from App Store or Google Play Store, sign up/sign in, enable the messages and respond.

This will make it easy for both businesses and customers to communicate and convey the messages in real-time.

However, messaging every business is not possible. Not all of the businesses have installed the Google Business app and enabled Messages.
