Many users have faced the “Unfortunately, System UI has stopped” error while using their Android phones. While this may be irritating and frustrating, but the good part is that there are some solutions to this problem. So, in this article, we have discussed some solutions which might help you to get the issue resolved.

Solution 1: Restart Your Device

This is the most common solution that we always try to resolve any problem in our Android phone. You just need to reboot your Android phone to resolve the issue. To reboot your Android phone, you can follow the steps below:

Just, press and hold the power button of your Android phone until a menu opens up.

Once the menu appears, tap on the Power Off option.

Now, wait for some moments to power off the device.

After almost 10-20 seconds, again press the power button to switch ON the phone.

Now, check if the issue has been fixed or not.

Solution 2: Uninstall Google App Updates

It is the most effective solution to resolve this error. Many users have reported that they have been able to fix this issue by uninstalling Google app updates. To do so:

Launch the Settings of your Android phone.

Now scroll down and go to Apps/Application.

Here, search for the Google Play Store and tap on Uninstall Updates.

Next, reboot your phone and see if the error got fixed.

 

Note: You can also select “Do not auto-update app” option from Google Play Store Settings. So, the apps will not be downloaded automatically. You can follow the steps ahead to apply the settings. Launch Google Play Store >> tap on 3-horizontal line menu >> Scroll down and tap on Settings >> here you can select “Do not auto-update app” option.

Solution 3: Remove Third-Party App Launcher

If you have installed any third-party app launcher app, we recommend uninstalling it from your Android phone as it can be a cause of error. Such apps conflict with System UI when they run simultaneously.

Solution 4: Uninstall Recently Installed App

So often some apps may conflict with your System UI. So, you just have to find the app you have recently installed and uninstall it from your Android device and check if the issue got resolved or not.

Solution 5: Wipe Cache Partition

The error can be fixed via clearing cache partition from recovery mode. To wipe cache partition from recovery mode, you can follow the steps below:

Firstly, hold down the power button and turn off your phone.

Now, press and hold the power key and volume up button simultaneously until the menu appears.

Now, you can use the volume buttons to highlight recovery mode.

Once you enter in recovery mode, you can select wipe cache partition using volume button and then press power button to confirm.

Now, you will get an option to reboot the device, reboot it. Now, check if the issue got resolved.

Avoid unnecessary posts such as 'Thank you', 'Welcome', etc. Such posts will be deleted and user will be warned if it happens again. If caught spamming, the following actions are applicable -

  • First time - Warning
  • Second time - 5000 Points will be deducted
  • Third time - Ban for 7 days
  • Fourth time - Permanent Ban
