Disneyland is making its upcoming WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure ride even more interactive, with the announcement that it will feature wearable webshooters. The Web Slingers ride will be part of Disneyland's Avengers Campus, an MCU-themed area of the Disneyland parks, set to open on June 4th, 2021. Originally set to open in July 2020, the Avengers Campus debut was delayed due to the Covid-19 pandemic. However, Disneyland reopened its parks on April 30th and is moving forward with its highly anticipated, immersive superhero experience.

The Avengers Campus will feature a slew of new dining, riding, and interactive experiences for guests. A brand new Ant-Man themed restaurant, "Pym Test Kitchen," will be the feature dining option of the park, cast members will sport brand new superhero themed uniforms, and, of course, the WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure will be one of the main attractions. The Spider-Man ride will take guests on a wild adventure to fight against rogue Spider-Bots and will feature an appearance from Spider-Man actor, Tom Holland. As if that weren't exciting enough, Disneyland is throwing in another major feature to the ride.

As reported by CinemaBlend, Disneyland's new Spider-Man ride will feature wearable web slingers. The ride will actually be able to detect and recognize guests' arm movements, so they can do the web shooting themselves without the use of the usual plastic toy guns and blasters. For guests who want a more interactive and realistic experience, they will be able to purchase a WEB Power Band, which looks like an enlarged version of a classic Spider-Man webshooter. Those who want to get even more out of the ride can add special accessories to the band that will give them additional powers and advantages, mimicking the powers of Iron Man, Rescuer, or Ghost Spider. Check out the webshooters below:

These Spider gadgets will give the riders a special advantage against others within the game. With the WEB Power Band, they will have the opportunity to shoot multiple webs at once. Riders can pick from a variety of Ghost Spider electro-dynamic webs for additional Spider-Man abilities or they can even become Marvel's Iron Man or Rescuer if they choose to go with the repulsor blast option. The web shooters light up and make noises outside of the game while in standard mode, which means guests will get more than a one-time use out of them. One can dominate the Web Slingers Spider-Man ride and take home a unique souvenir.

Disneyland's Web Slingers ride will certainly be a game changer, with a unique immersive experience that will be hard to top. It is something that Disneyland also very much needs, as they struggle to regain losses after a nearly year-long closure. They started off on the right foot by introducing a new Snow White Enchanted Wish ride with their April 30th reopening. However, this Avengers Campus could really push them over the edge, offering guests an experience like none other. As many more continue to get vaccinated and the country opens up, Disneyland will be welcoming in swarms of people who have spent the last year in quarantine and are aching for an extraordinary experience. With their new interactive webshooters, it seems Disneyland is off to great start in welcoming the vaccinated, post-quarantine crowds this summer.
