Emily Blunt Reaches Out In New A Quiet Place 2 Image

Emily Blunt picks up right where things left off in a new image from A Quiet Place Part II. When 2018's A Quiet Place proved to be a breakout success, it seemed inevitable that more stories would emerge from the horror series. Directed by John Krasinski, the original film imagines a world where monsters with enhanced hearing prey on those who dare to make even the tiniest sound. A Quiet Place Part II looks to expand upon this universe as strong-willed mother Evelyn Abbott (Blunt) ventures out into the unknown with her children (Noah Jupe and Millicent Simmonds).

A Quiet Place Part II was once slated to premiere in March of last year. However, the coronavirus pandemic forced Paramount to delay it mere weeks before its debut; after a few more adjustments, A Quiet Place Part II will now finally arrive in theaters this Friday. The film has so far earned glowing reviews, currently holding a 94% on Rotten Tomatoes at the time of this writing. It seems like Krasinski, who will appear onscreen in a reduced capacity, has a hit on his hands once again.

As part of Fandango's summer movie preview, a new image from A Quiet Place Part II has arrived online. The picture shows Blunt's Evelyn reaching toward the camera, armed and ready to run. Evelyn was bracing for a fight, and that was where the movie ended. It's clear that A Quiet Place Part II will pick up from that moment, though only after showing a flashback to the day the monsters first arrived. In that sense, A Quiet Place Part II really won't be wasting any time as it dives right into the next chapter of the family's story.

A lot of attention is being heaped on A Quiet Place Part II, and not just because it's a sequel to a well-liked movie. It will be the biggest movie to debut without the backing of a streaming release since Tenet in September, so many are curious to see how it will perform.
