Hello,

I am aware that theres already a sticky made by Admin but im still having problem with my seed box. I recently bought a seed box from torrent swift (Ive no idea why i bought from them), set-up was fast and I got my hostname and some access information to torrent flux,rutorrent and rapidleech. So i followed Admin's guide and opened up Putty and typed my host name but i get an error saying Network Error: Connection timed out , is thier problem (torrent swift) ? or i did something wrong. If you could help ill be very glad coz i also want to know how to fully install it with torrent flux,rutorrent and rapidleech.

For logging into a linux system via Putty, you need turn off the firewalls in this linux system. So type the below command and try it:

# /etc/init.d/iptables stop

For confirmation, whether the system is connected in your network or not, first check the system is pinging or not. If it pings then try connect from Putty ;)

It looks like its a problem at their end - I can't connect to that hostname either. It's not a DNS problem though - the hostname does resolve to an IP address.

I guess either they're having network problems, your seedbox is powered off for some reason, or it has a firewall turned on. Is it a linux or windows box?

I dont really have knowledge about these stuff (just bought and thought it would be easy), their customer service/support service wont respond aswell. :(
