FromSoftware’s new fantasy action RPG Elden Ring has gone live on Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox stores. Users can finally mark Elden Ring on their wishlists as the anticipated January 2022 launch day approaches. Players will get to experience George R.R. Martin’s fantasy world in just over five months, brandishing the power of the Elden Ring to take down powerful foes.

FromSoftware’s Elden Ring will reportedly feature more than an expansive single-player experience; shared-world multiplayer components will also be featured in the game. The new action RPG will take pieces from previous Soulslike games, such as the ability to jump into another player’s world and either wreak havoc or cooperate to take down a challenging boss. The multiplayer elements involved in Elden Ring are expected to peak during launch week, as a surge of players will be entering into Miyazaki’s fantastical game world.

Elden Ring has been officially listed on three major gaming marketplaces, including Steam, as well as the PlayStation and Xbox stores. While a price tag is not present in any three of the listings and players cannot pre-order the game just yet, fans can wishlist Elden Ring to be notified of its release. The Steam listing also shares a few story details, encouraging readers to "Rise, Tarnished, and be guided by grace to brandish the power of the Elden Ring and become an Elden Lord in the Lands Between."

The Steam, PlayStation, and Xbox marketplaces include an expansive “About” section that describes many aspects of Elden Ring. The game is said to have “a vast world full of excitement” that will involve players in “an epic drama born from a myth.” The listings include a description of Elden Ring and its features, including its “unique” multiplayer functionality that “loosely connects you to others.” Notably excluded from the Steam listing are the minimum and recommended system requirements. PlayStation and Xbox players can play the game on current and last-gen consoles.

The Elden Ring listings provide a wealth of new information for fans. To have the anticipated launch date front and center is sure to encourage players. It’s always possible that the launch date is pushed back, as happened recently to Evil Dead: The Game, but having it recorded on the listing gives fans hope that FromSoftware is going to stay true to its word.

Elden Ring has notoriously been a long time coming, having lapsed into near-total silence from its initial reveal in 2019 up to its appearance at Summer Game Fest this year. While fans still have several months to wait before they can get their hands on the new game, these store listings provide solid proof that that wait will end in January.
