The PC requirements and specs for Halo Infinite have been revealed on Steam. The next installment of the Halo franchise finally received a release date and now gamers can prepare their PCs for the eventual launch of the popular multiplayer shooter. Halo Infinite will arrive in time for Santa, though its December 8 launch won’t come wrapped in a beautiful pink bow. There will be several components missing, such as the co-op campaign and the Forge mode. Those features will be added in future updates and fans will receive the prioritized features – solo campaign and expansive multiplayer modes – when Halo Infinite launches at the end of the year.

As the hype for the anticipated return to the Halo universe continues to grow, the developers have been sprinkling key details about the game and fans are eating it up. A new cinematic Halo multiplayer trailer released during Gamescom introduced fans to the Spartan Commander Laurette Agryna, who is responsible for training recruits. The character will be integral to the game’s ongoing narrative and gamers will need to train hard under her tutelage as they jump into the Halo Infinite’s free-to-play multiplayer.

Those interested in facing off in the continuous cycle of red versus blue in Halo Infinite will need to adhere to the PC specs listed on the game’s Steam page. The minimum requirements for Halo Infinite on PC is a 64-bit processor with an AMD FX-8370 or intel i5-4440. The PC needs at least 8 GB of RAM and must be using a Windows 10 operating system. Graphics card-wise, PCs must be stocked with at least an AMD RX 570 or Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti to run the game. Gamers will also need to maintain 50 GB of available hard drive space to install Halo Infinite.

Halo Infinite PC System Requirements

MINIMUM:

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

OS: Windows 10 RS3 x64

Processor: AMD FX-8370 or Intel i5-4440

Memory: 8 GB RAM

Graphics: AMD RX 570 or Nvidia GTX 1050 Ti

DirectX: Version 12

Storage: 50 GB available space

RECOMMENDED:

Requires a 64-bit processor and operating system

OS: Windows 10 19H2 x64

Processor: AMD Ryzen 7 3700X or Intel i7-9700k

Memory: 16 GB RAM

Graphics: Radeon RX 5700 XT or Nvidia RTX 2070

DirectX: Version 12

Storage: 50 GB available space

Halo Infinite will also have advanced PC setting optimizations. The game will have advanced graphics settings, as well as ultrawide and super ultrawide support for PCs. It will also have triple-key binds to features such as dynamic scaling and variable framerates. The Steam page boasts that Halo Infinite will be “the best Halo experience on PC to date.”

Overall, the PC specs for Halo Infinite aren’t too surprising. The game will be playable on a wide variety of machines, though players with tougher hardware will be able to push the game to the extreme. The ultrawide and super ultrawide support will likely require PCs to be on the higher end of the PC spec spectrum, as heavy-duty graphics cards will be needed to run those settings smoothly. The specs are similar to the Halo Infinite multiplayer technical preview, so gamers who ran the game then should be safe when it officially launches in December.

Needing 50 GB of available space is also not surprising. Most modern games require a lot of hard drive space, so fans should count their blessings that the requirements are nowhere near the size of Call of Duty: Warzone, a game that has been stuffing hard drives since launch.
