A good Anti-Virus Solution should be light on memory & the CPU. All the good brand ones are memory & CPU hogs - you can seldom do any work while the AV is doing its scan.

After using Norton for almost 10 years (Pay € 50,- each year) i got very disappointed by there 2007 version and I uninstalled it and never touched it again.

Now I use Comodo Internet Security (free version) and it works perfect ! Never had such a good antivirus program and firewall and for free. I can recommend it to everybody !

I also use antimalwarebytes (also the free version) to scan my computer weekly for root kits, malware, etc

The 3th one is Ccleaner (also free), to clean my computers temp files and registry

Agreed. Main problem these days is rootkits redirecting google etc. and antimalwarebytes is best. I also run Ccleaner (CrapCleaner) which takes seconds if browsers are exited before shutting down.
