I have collected NPW 720p rips for a long time. They looked great on my old Sony 27" CRT TV and they looked pretty good on my new 32" LCD TV. Recently, I started to download some of my favorite movies on 720p and 1080p bluray and they are only marginally better than the supposedly lower quality NPW rips (and many looked worse). Specifically, they were very grainy. I know full blurays are over 40gb so a lot of compression is needed to achieve the 720p and 1080p blurays, but I was still disappointed.

I appreciate the work these group do, I understand that I may be expecting too much (beggers can't be choosers, comes to mind), but I was hoping for better.

I use Splash Pro player.

I am hoping I can get some opinions from others regarding what users think of NPW, 720p, and 1080p rips.

Thanks!
