Police Raid Takes Down Dozens of File-Sharing Sites- real reason why GFT/FL down

Recommended Posts

olice have raided the Swedish hosting company PRQ today, possibly looking for servers connected to copyright infringement. PRQ was founded by Pirate Bay co-founders Gottfrid Svartholm and Fredrik Neij and is known to host or route many file-sharing sites. The target of the raid has not been confirmed by the authorities, but The Pirate Bay team informs TorrentFreak that they are no longer using PRQ’s services.

because of the police a lot of sites are down

for example:

torrenthound.com, linkomanija.net and tankafetast.nu, release blog RLSLOG.net

, and the sports streaming sites atdhenet.tv,

hahasport.com, sportlemon.tv and stopstream.tv.

also is

  • GFT
  • FileList
  • SuperTorrents
  • TorrentBytes

Apparantly, its just a raid for TPB servers hosted at PRQ as it says on the ST homepage.

SuperTorrents.org is currently down due to a raid at PRQ, where our site is hosted.

From what we have gathered, the police raided PRQ looking for thepiratebay's servers (they still had 4 hosted there) - as soon as the police showed up at PRQ they nulled the entire network in an attempt to make it harder for the police to find the servers within their datacenter. There was a massive raid this afternoon in which all of thepiratebay.se's servers and assets were seized on a warrant carried out by Swedish police, SuperTorrents should be up as soon as they figure out which servers belong to TPB and remove them from PRQ.

65536 IP's from the datacenter are currently inaccessible and dozens of sites hosted there are offline as well as the provider's official website.

I hope gft will be back soon. I love this smart, cool tracker. For me it's the best tracker.
