Are the higher ranks in BTN and What worth the trouble?

I should start out by saying that both BTN and What are fantastic trackers and the communities are great. My question is whether going for the higher ranks is worth the trouble.

I think most people would agree that getting to power user on both is worth the trouble because the Power User forums on both offer, among other things, recruitment threads for other respected trackers. A friend told me not to bother going for Extreme User on BTN or Elite User on What because there is really nothing provided that is not already provided to Power Users.

I am hoping that members who have gone to the higher ranks could disclose any further perks found in the higher rank forums, or if people work to ascend the ranks just so they can be a Master or Torrent Master.

Any information would be appreciated.
