BTN || New upload rules

Hi everyone,

Uploading rules revamp was long overdue. We've made these rules to suit modern BTN and its common practices. We are also attempting to bring transparency to staff actions, things should not come as surprise to anyone anymore. You can view the new uploading rules in full at rules.php?p=upload

Major changes:

• Do not upload single episodes if the show's season is complete, upload as a season pack instead.
• Tag your own encodes either with -BTN or -username, unless you're part of recognized encoding group.
• Complete all sections of the Upload Form, including selection of proper genre(s) and Tech Specs from MediaInfo. Check kb.php?id=81 if you need help with it. Meaning: Mediainfo is now mandatory for all uploads, there will be lots of PM's in coming weeks about this, we do not start heavily enforcing it right away. Full enforcement (->uploads get deleted if its not included) of uploads missing MediaInfos will commence after month has passed.
• Staff will delete single episodes 7 days after a season finale. Snatches from these will be retained unless a rule has been broken.
• If your upload speed is slow, upload a single torrent at a time. If 24 hours has passed and nobody has started downloading your torrent, you may upload another.
• After the last episode of a running season has been uploaded by internal encoders, there is a 48 hour reservation where the internal encoder can upload a season pack. Anyone can compile and upload the season pack after the reservation has expired.
• Only upload your own encodes if you are committed to encoding and uploading the entire season. You must encode and upload content within 4 days of the original broadcast. Failure to continue encoding and uploading until the end of the season means that encoded episodes will be removed and snatches gained from those lost. This applies to User originated encodes only.
• Do not include any additional files in your uploads.
• DivX is automatically trumped by x264 as well.
• Removed WMV-HD from Format Specific Rules
• Added Bluray Remuxes to Format Specific Rules
• All labels, Container/Codec/Source/Resolution/Origin and release name with either -group/-NOGRP/-BTN are mandatory.
• Anime: Uploads must have either English subtitles (with Japanese audio track) or English audio. The only exception is untouched DVD/BD.

These rules are in effect immediately. We will do some handholding for couple of weeks, after that, its business as usual.
