Contest results (about time!)
This was our first contest in a long time, so we didn't know what to expect from you people. Suffice it to say, you brought your A-game. There were a total of 2272 torrents trumped during November, and 691 pre-existing trumps/dupes reported. By the third day, we were all questioning the decision to hold a contest in the first place. There were staffers with repetitive stress injuries and at least one case of a mod curled up in the corner in the fetal position, crying "no more reports!" We brought the Librarians on for some much-needed assistance during this time, and we'd like to thank them for saving us from the gaping maw of insanity.

Needless to say, there was a lot to tally for the contest, and as a thank you for ruining our personal lives for the past month, we've decided to give out prizes to everyone who participated! We've also added some extra rewards for our top participants. Without further ado, we present the results:

The top spot for the trumping contest is, unsurprisingly, ronaldr, with a staggering 1288 points! For being the (absolute) champion, he will receive:

• A total of three freeleech picks and one neutral-leech pick, to run for one month.
• A custom reigning Contest Champion class, to be held until such time as he is dethroned. This is equivalent to VIP.
• Two additional invites
• 1GB in bounty toward the request of his choice
• An optional "Eat our hat" badge to display on his profile. We made the mistake of telling him he wouldn't be able to find a way to automate uploading while still producing quality uploads. We were wrong and have never been happier to be wrong.

Second place goes to LarndeSolen, with 438 points! He will receive:

• A total of two freeleech picks and one neutral-leech pick, to run for three weeks.
• A promotion to VIP
• 1GB in bounty toward the request of his choice

Third place goes to kurivaim, with 214 points! He will receive:

• A total of one freeleech pick and one neutral-leech pick, to run for two weeks.
• A promotion to VIP
• 500MB in bounty toward the request of his choice

We were going to lump places 4-10 together, but since kal did such an amazing job trumping scene with retail, he will receive:

• A freeleech pick to run for one week
• 250MB in bounty toward the request of his choice

Spots five through ten still did great though, so we'd like to congratulate ErinJade, trite, icephoenix, thorn969, and r0ss0. They will each receive:

• A neutral-leech pick to run for one week
• 250MB in bounty toward the request of their choice

And to show our appreciation, everybody who participated will receive 100MB in bounty toward a request of their choice! Thanks zimmer, untoxicated, vivabra4life, blackbully, Yellekai, MagnusArchon, thatguy, SicklySweet, deadman36g, ladyace, devnull, Supercoaster, PSkwiggles, zorbas, thatfrenchkid, Tegmark, painlesspat, defunctfenix, Spectre2010, frasques, invalido, tmma, Damag3, TryWait, and KicknGuitar!

The reporting contest may have been a secondary contest that ran in the background, but we were blown away by the number and we greatly appreciate the work that went into it, so thank you all!

Our number one reporter was devnull with 232 points! He will receive a freeleech pick and a neutral leech pick, to run for a month.

Second in the reporting contest was trite with 132 points! He will receive a neutral leech pick to run for one month.

The sheer number of old trumps and dupes reported really demonstrates the need for all users to be diligent in letting staff know when they've trumped a torrent. We hope that the contest has helped to create at least a few good habits going forward!

Keep an eye out in the coming weeks for an announcement featuring freeleech and neutral-leech picks from our winners! Winners will be receiving a message asking for their request and pick selections soon.

Congratulate everyone who participated, and discuss this post here!
