Naughty Dog’s critically acclaimed The Last of Us has sold over 6 million copies, Sony has revealed through a blog post.

The post-apocalyptic adventure from Naughty Dog was released in June last year and the game managed to sell a whopping 3.4 million copies at the end of 2014. The game was also awarded five BAFTA awards recently including “Best Game in 2014?.

Sony also revealed that the game’s Left Behind DLC has become the highest rated ever downloadable content for PlayStation 3 earning a score of 89 on Metacritic.

The Last of Us developer will be attending Game Developers Conference (GDC) 2014 to talk about the process and techniques that went into developing the game.

“We’re now heading to GDC to talk about some of the techniques and process that went into making The Last of Us, which has now hit over six million copies sold worldwide, as well as what made Left Behind, our first ever downloadable, single player story chapter, so unique”, reads the Sony blog post.
