Fault In Our Stars' Team To Reunite For 'Paper Towns'

What's the only thing better than a John Green novel getting made into a big Hollywood movie? That would be two John Green novels getting made into movies, one right after the other, courtesy of the same fabulous team that's bringing "The Fault in Our Stars" to the big screen.

Fresh on the heels of the news that TFiOS headliners Shailene Woodley and Ansel Elgort will grace the stage at the MTV Movie Awards, Deadline reports that supporting actor Nat Wolff will take a star turn in his very own film: another adaptation of a John Green book, this time the bestselling 2008 novel "Paper Towns."

Written with a critical eye toward the "manic pixie dreamgirl" trope in YA fiction, "Paper Towns" tells the story of Quentin, a teenage boy from Orlando who's obsessed with mysterious, damaged girl-next-door Margo. One evening, Margo enlists Quentin for an all-night series of revenge pranks on people who'd wronged her.

The next day, she disappears without a trace, leaving behind nothing but a series of cryptic clues that Quentin is determined to follow in order to find and save her.

With Nat Wolff already in place as Quentin — and both the producing and screenwriting team from "The Fault in Our Stars" in charge of bringing the book to life — there's just one big question about this film yet to be answered: who will play Margo?

Margo is a complicated character, one who'll need a fierce, angry lady to do her justice. And while this could be a major breakout role for an as-yet unknown actress, we've got an educated guess or two about who in Hollywood might already be on a shortlist to play her.

First off:Mae Whitman. At one time, it seemed like Whitman might actually be a frontrunner for the lead in "The Fault in Our Stars." Among other things, she's a favorite of the book's author. And while she didn't end up being the face of Hazel Grace Lancaster, Mae's onscreen attitude would be well placed in the part of "Paper Towns'" enigmatic leading lady.

But if she's not available — or if she'll be a bit too old by the time the movie gets made to pass for 18 — then this could be a juicy part for Liana Liberato or Kaya Scodelario, who are playing supporting roles in two of this year's other most-anticipated YA screen adaptations.
