Actor Michael Chiklis' return to television is sure to make No Ordinary Family look pretty darn normal.
The Shield and Fantastic Four star has been cast in American Horror Story: Freak Show. The PaleyFest American Horror Story: Coven panel revealed that Chiklis will join returning cast members Kathy Bates, Sarah Paulson, Evan Peters, Angela Basset, Frances Conroy and fan-favorite Jessica Lange -- who previously announced that this will be her final season.

Creator Ryan Murphy (Glee) announced that Chiklis will play the ex-husband of Bates and the father of Peters. Freak Show is set in Jupiter, Florida, in 1950 and stars Lange as a German expatriate struggling to keep her freak show business alive. According to Entertainment Weekly, Bates and Peters play two performers Lange has rescued.
