So if i take somebody's information like research statitics/ tutorial etc etc... can you be held up for copyright if you post the same information elsewhere?

That would be fine. So if you used my material you could say - 'research indicates that 47% of torrenters are addicted to torrenting (Remote, 2010).

Then put my link at the bottom as a reference.

I take it that it is not for uni work or anything like that. If so, different disciplines have different ways of referencing material.
