1) First you will need to download software capable of bypassing the copy protection built into Wii games. The guide at Copy Wii Games Guide

2) Install the software on your PC or Mac computer.

3) Simply insert the Wii disc you wish to copy (or specify the downloaded game file) and click copy. The program will unencode the protection in the Wii game.

4) Now that the game is copied, you need a way to play it WITHOUT installing a modchip.

5) Simply download and install the latest Wii Unlock Hack, found at the Wii Homebrew Unlock Hack Guide This will allow you to play backup, copied, import, and retro games, plus DVD's, on your Nintendo Wii without a modchip!

6) That's all there is to it. Insert your copied / backup Wii games and play!

7) Insert the DVD you burned into the Wii and play.

Warnings

the newer ones dont allow home made dvd's. But i think usb works for puting games on?

Just to add, you will need DVD-R at least 4.7gb The DVD+R don't work if you want to burn games, and you will need an sd card and sd card reader to copy the data to the Wii.

The sd card needs to be 2gb and no more, not all cards work and I find sandisck to work well.

Once the homebrew channel is on your Wii you have the option to download USBloader directly from the channel, simply put the game you want to copy into your Wii launch USBloader.

The game will copy to external hd connected to Wii.
