Pragniemy Was poinformować o poważnej luce bezpieczeństwa znajdującej się w klientach uTorrent Web oraz wszystkich wersjach uTorrent Classic - w tym w naszym ulubionym uT 2.2.1. Owa podatność może spowodować wykonanie dowolnego kodu na Waszych komputerach (uT Web), oraz w sposób nieautoryzowany pobierać/sprawdzać pliki ściągnięte przez użytkownika (uT Classic). Aby przeprowadzić skutecznie atak wymagane jest wejście ofiary na odpowiednio spreparowaną stronę, tak więc bez paniki, nie musisz w tym momencie wywalać kompa za okno.
Zagrożenie neutralizuje zmiana ustawienia "net.discoverable" na wartość "false" SCREEN i zrobienie restartu uT. Możesz więc nadal korzystać ze swojego uTorrenta, bez zmiany na innego klienta. W ramach alternatywy polecamy qBittorrent, który jest coraz cieplej przyjmowany przez torrentową społeczność (m.in. mniejsze zużycie RAM).

Nie będziemy Was uszczęśliwiać na siłę i NIE zbanujemy uTorrenta na trackerze, nie mniej jednak chcemy abyście byli świadomi zagrożenia.
Przy okazji zmian ustawień pamiętajcie o wyłączeniu DHT SCREEN, oraz o nie przeciążaniu Waszych dysków SCREEN.

This vulnerability can cause arbitrary code execution on your computers (uT Web), and unauthorized download / checking of files downloaded by the user (uT Classic). In order to successfully carry out an attack, the victim needs to enter a suitably crafted website, so without panic, you do not have to blow your computer out of the window at this point.
The threat neutralizes the change of the "net.discoverable" setting to "false" SCREEN and the restart of uT. So you can still use your uTorrent without changing to another client. As an alternative, we recommend qBittorrent, which is getting warmer and warmer by the torrent community (including lower RAM usage).

We will not make you happy or bother uTorrent on the tracker, but nevertheless, we want you to be aware of the threat.
When changing the settings, remember to turn off DHT SCREEN, and not overload your SCREEN drives.
