I have tried practically all music players but Winamp is the one that I use frequently cos I feel it handles low frequency quite well. Please post your opinions on what player you use and their advantages over good ol' winamp. :)

I mostly use Amarok(It can handle a big library without using up too much cpu power and can play just about anything (except those freaking *.ape files <_< )

otherwise i use "quintessential player " (kinda handy) on windows.

I used Foobar 2000 & Windows Media Player, but I like more Foobar.

Thanks for the suggestion. Btw the Amarok interface looks nice...somewhat akin to Itunes. :) I've tried quintessential but found the sound to be tinny.

I had been using Winamp forever, until I found foobar years ago... now I will never go back to Winamp! foobar isn't quite eye candy, but it handles the task quite well.

Thanks for the suggestion. Does Foobar take up lots of memory while running ? :)

I just switched from iTunes to Foobar2000 and I have to tell you it's the most refreshing change I have ever made. I no longer have to deal with converting all my FLAC files to different formats so that's a plus! I know this has nothing to with Winamp, but Foobar for me is golden.

For me Foobar works the best when listening to my own personal collection of music. Occasionally I use winamp to broadcast via shoutcast a few tunes.
